My name is Danielle Raymo and I am co-founder of Rochester Brainery. Rochester Brainery is a place to take or teach classes in Rochester, NY, based on the belief that learning should be fun, affordable and accessible. We opened in Village Gate in March of this year.

 

As part of our goal to become as accessible as possible to all members of the Rochester community, we are really excited to announce that we've teamed up with a few local sign language interpreters so we can now offer free sign language interpretation during any of our classes! All we need is 48 hours notice so we can schedule one of our wonderful volunteers to be there. Requests can be sent to info@rochesterbrainery.com.

Purpose of the event:
To celebrate the fact that the need to communicate is universal and that emphasis on language and culture is critical as we prepare students to be ready for college and career readiness as global citizens. This is an opportunity to highlight that we are very fortunate in Greece, New York to have such a rich diversity of cultures and languages in our community.
In recognition of our universality as global citizens, we also seek to support our friends in need by using this event as an opportunity to support various organizations by raising awareness of those initiatives as well as generating monetary support to advance those initiatives. The organizations identified are: Discovering Deaf Worlds, Ethiopia Reads, GlobeMed and the Tenderfeet Education Center in Kibera, Kenya.
